Exhibition celebrates the most extensive work of urban art in Europe, Talude da Alta de Lisboa

Talude da Alta de Lisboa, built by TANAGRA, is considered the most extensive work of urban art in Europe created by a single artist, Rui Alexandre Ferreira (RAF). Located on Rua Helena Vaz da Silva, the slope materialized in 2019 has an area of 2800 square meters and is the canvas for this work by RAF, which is now celebrated in an exhibition running until the 24th of March at Galeria Liminare in Lumiar. The show glimpses the process of creating and designing the project, which has become one of the most relevant and visited works in the world of street art, placing Alta de Lisboa on urban art itineraries.

"This project is essentially distinguished by the technical process that the artist used in this containment slope, transforming this public space, before a barren landscape barrier, now a gigantic and impressive public artwork. The artist took advantage of the existing structural characteristics in the place, where a concrete coating organically shaped the surface to attenuate the volumetric mass through vibrant three-dimensional visual effects and use optical illusion techniques that confer depth, generating rhythmic games that attenuate distances".
